After Beta Period, Wevorce Software for Making Every Divorce Amicable Is Now Generally Available Nationwide

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — (Marketwired) — 05/22/13 — (), which offers an innovative technology platform and process to make every divorce amicable, announced today that after a beta period its software is now generally available to attorneys across the U.S. The company is holding an informational webinar for interested attorneys on May 29, 2013 at 12pm Pacific; attendees can register at .

Wevorce is disrupting the $30B market for divorce-related services with a technology platform and process that address not just the legal aspects of divorce, but also the emotional and financial. Wevorce is the first technology company to address the divorce process and focus on turning every divorce into an amicable one.

Traditionally, attorneys manage the process manually, with their own checklists and ad hoc processes. The is standardized so that each family knows what to expect right from the beginning. It starts with assigning each family a team of three experts: a legal architect (attorney/mediator), co-parenting architect (family counselor) and fiscal architect (typically a CPA). These architects guide families through six steps, starting with a co-parenting plan and ending with a divorce settlement. Meanwhile the captures all the necessary information (such as financial forms), automates much of the voluminous paperwork required by the courts, incorporates educational information such as videos for divorcing couples, and helps all parties better communicate and co-parent.

The company was born out of founder Michelle Crosby-s own traumatic experience as a child of divorce. At the age of nine, she was put on the witness stand to answer a question no child ever should: which parent do you want to live with? Her parents- court battles lasted 15 years and became the catalyst for her becoming a family attorney, and for the creation of Wevorce, which focuses on keeping families out of court.

Wevorce licenses the technology and the process to attorneys, counselors and financial professionals. More than 100 families have been through the Wevorce process to date, and in 99 percent of cases, is successful and keeps families out of court. The company is so confident in its methodology that it offers to pay attorney fees in situations where families cannot achieve an amicable resolution.

“This process is so completely different from a traditional divorce,” said Michelle Crosby, CEO and Founder of Wevorce. “It-s much more comprehensive, yet because the software keeps the process structured, it-s less scary for divorcing couples and more efficient for attorneys, which leads to overall lower costs.” While a traditional divorce costs upwards of $27,000 on average, says Crosby, a Wevorce generally costs less than $10,000. More importantly, participants are not left feeling as if they have just been through a war that no one won.

Attorney feedback to date has been extremely positive. Nearly 30 attorneys from all over the U.S. participated in a four-month beta period. One was Cynthia First, founder of Port Gardner Law Group in Everett, Wash. “Our firm has provided mediation services for many years,” said First. “Wevorce-s technology and six-step process are a natural and welcome progression from traditional mediation services. Wevorce has thought of everything and incorporated it into the software and process. It saves our attorneys time, which saves clients money, and best of all this process really does result in a better, more durable and focused outcome for everyone involved.”
