Traditionally, attorneys manage the process manually, with their own checklists and ad hoc processes. The is standardized so that each family knows what to expect right from the beginning. It starts with assigning each family a team of three experts: a legal architect (attorney/mediator), co-parenting architect (family counselor) and fiscal architect (typically a CPA). These architects guide families through six steps, starting with a co-parenting plan and ending with a divorce settlement. The company was born out of founder Michelle Crosby-s own traumatic experience as a child of divorce. At the age of nine, she was put on the witness stand to answer a question no child ever should: which parent do you want to live with? Her parents- court battles lasted 15 years and became the catalyst for her becoming a family attorney, and for the creation of Wevorce, which focuses on keeping families out of court.
Wevorce licenses the technology and the process to attorneys, counselors and financial professionals.
