Leading Industry Analyst Firm Ranks Adaptive Planning the #1 Most Usable CPM Solution and the Only Cloud CPM Vendor in the Leaders Quadrant

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA — (Marketwired) — 06/12/13 — , the worldwide leader in cloud-based business analytics solutions for companies and nonprofits of all sizes, announced today that it received the # 1 Usability rating of any Corporate Performance Management (CPM) solution on the market, and is the only pure play cloud CPM provider in the Leaders Quadrant, in a major industry-wide analyst report that measures solution value.

Adaptive Planning received a significantly higher overall rating than any other cloud CPM provider, and was positioned in the Leaders quadrant based on a unique combination of features and usability likely to deliver the greatest potential returns. It-s no secret that usability is critical to CPM adoption and delivering ROI. It-s why usability is an integral component in how the Nucleus Value Matrix examines an application-s ability to deliver both initial ROI and long-term value. The study includes in-depth research and analysis and validation from multiple customers on value criteria.

“Corporate Performance Management (CPM) is quickly transforming due to the emergence of cloud-based CPM players, and we believe that Adaptive Planning provides a leading and most usable offering for companies of all sizes,” said Hyoun Park, Nucleus analyst and author of the report. “Adaptive Planning has quickly developed a broad set of capabilities and shown the ability to scale CPM deployments to thousands of users without direct IT involvement by taking advantage of its cloud infrastructure.”

“Nucleus has found that cloud-based deployments typically provide greater value than on-premise solutions,” said Park. “We also think that Adaptive has a strong level of continued innovation and a solid product and integration strategy, both of which are important factors to consider as organizations need to pull in more sources of real-time data and applications into the planning picture,” added Park.

“We find Adaptive Planning-s Leaders Quadrant placement and top billing for usability to be right on target; they accurately capture our strong position in the business analytics market,” said John Herr, CEO of Adaptive Planning. “What-s more, the findings are backed by the broad endorsement of our enterprise and high-growth customers who have sung our praises. The rapid growth of Adaptive is the direct result of feature rich and highly usable products, and the ability to roll out enterprise scale cloud solutions to major global brands.”

Usability composite scores are based on a number of factors, including intuitiveness of the application, availability of role-based interfaces, training requirements, and productivity impact on users. Functionality composite scores are based on the breadth and repeatability of functionality in the core application, the availability and ease of integration of add-on functionality that delivers additional benefit, and the vendors- investment in innovative functionality outside the application that will deliver additional benefits.

Adaptive Planning-s usability ranked higher than Oracle Hyperion and nearly a dozen other vendors in the CPM market, and its functionality also rated in the Leaders Quadrant of the report.
