German SkyWay DataCenter starts operating

St. Ingbert, 10-12-21. In its own data center according to TIER III standard, SkyWay DataCenter GmbH offers its customers the housing and grid connection of server systems (colocation), projection and engineering (hosting) as well as the renting of dedicated servers (root server). All root servers are also available as managed servers. The “TÜV-Saarland“, a technical inspection authority, has certified the data center according to the guidelines of the Federal Office for Information Security (Bundesamt für Sicherheit in der Informationstechnik, BSI) and TIER level standards as “TÜV audited data center” level TIER III.

The SkyServer Performance especially aims at medium-sized companies with a want for own server infrastructure. Web, e-mail or other services can be provided on the servers. The power variant can particularly be used for virtualization systems or data bases. Customers can continuously control their servers via the integrated remote administration (IPMI).

SkyWay attaches great importance to environmental protection. The complete energy demand of the data center and the offices is covered with green electricity of the urban energy supplier. Averaged three quarters of a year, the server room can be completely or predominantly cooled with the outdoor temperature. Using the warm discharged air to heat the complete office building, SkyWay shows environmental responsibility.

SkyWay is a fully-owned subsidiary of Key-Systems GmbH. The TIER III data center is located in an adjoining building of the Key-Systems headquarters in St. Ingbert, Germany (federal state: Saarland).
