Nomadix Launches Integrated Load Balancing to Optimize Internet User Traffic, Ensure Business Continuity at Hospitality Properties

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — (Marketwired) — 06/24/13 — HITEC, Booth #737 Today at in Minneapolis, , the innovator and pioneer of public access gateways, announced the new Load Balancing Module with Link Failover, which is available as an optional integration with (NSE) Version 8.2 software found in Nomadix AG 2400, AG 5600 and AG 5800. Developed to deliver reliable, trouble-free guest connectivity for optimum Internet access availability, the new module ensures that demands placed on high-speed Internet access (HSIA) are balanced based on the capability of each connection.

Because the Load Balancing Module is consolidated with the gateway, the new solution eliminates the need for a specialized load balancing appliance. This means tighter integration for a simplified and seamless operation and a more cost effective solution. Demonstrations of the module will be conducted at Nomadix booth #737.

Focused on providing a quality guest experience, hotels are deploying multiple WAN/ISP links that can be used to offer Internet connection service for different classes of guests and employees. Of particular benefit to the hospitality industry, load balancing optimizes Internet service for different tiers of hotel guests and provides flexibility for properties to choose the Internet capabilities that best fit their needs. For hotels that require mandatory uptime, the Load Balancing Module maximizes the best access to Internet service possible and is well suited for properties that wish to source multiple low cost Internet lines to save on costs.

Moreover, the Link Failover feature of the new module improves business continuity, as it can automatically reroute traffic to surviving links in the event that one or more links fail. Once the failed links recover, new connections are routed toward the now-working links until a normal balanced configuration is reached.

“Unlike many load balancers on the market, which are offered as separate appliances, the Load Balancing Module from Nomadix is consolidated into the gateway,” said Nomadix Chief Commercial and Operating Officer Fred Reeder. “Not only does this integration make set-up quick and easy, it saves hotels from having to buy multiple devices, which can increase their costs and result in synchronization disparity. The Load Balancing Module helps hotels provide optimum Internet service to their guests without the headaches. It-s a powerful combination rolled into one device.”

Regular updates to the Load Balancing Module will occur whenever NSE is updated. The cost of the license is included in NSE. For more information, a white paper is available for download at . Or contact Nomadix at +1.818.597.1500.
