Echo360 Awards Six New Research Grants to Higher Education Institutions Studying Active Learning

DULLES, VA — (Marketwired) — 09/10/13 — , the global leader in active and distance learning solutions, today announced . The Echo360 Active Learning Grants Program is celebrating its fifth anniversary and has collectively awarded more than a quarter of a million dollars to institutions to study the impact of active learning technology on teaching and learning.

A record 32 applications were submitted from institutions across the globe, covering a broad spectrum of topics from flipping the classroom to distance learning. Ultimately, six proposals were selected to receive a $10,000 grant to generate findings that will help forge the future of active learning.

Investigating Student Engagement in Hospitality Learners: A Cross-Cultural Study of Lecture Software in the Large Classes

The focus of the 2013 program, “Create, Engage and Assess: Using Active Learning to Evolve Teaching and Learning,” seeks to better understand how active learning solutions are transforming higher education campuses.
