“Trade Up with Toshiba” Promotion Enables Trade-in of Legacy Toshiba Business Telephone Systems for New IP and Cloud Systems at Significant Savings

IRVINE, CA — (Marketwired) — 11/19/13 — Toshiba America Information Systems Inc., Telecommunication Systems Division (Toshiba — ) today announced the launch of its , which enables users of legacy Toshiba business telephone systems to trade up to newer Toshiba business telephone systems and take advantage of robust VoIP applications. Users of Toshiba-s Strata® DK, Strata CTX and systems can trade up to cloud-based business telephone solution as well as Toshiba-s and Strata CIX670 on-premises business telephone systems. Available through select Authorized Toshiba Dealers, the “Trade up With Toshiba” promotion runs through March 31, 2014*.

“Founded in 1978, Toshiba Telecom has hundreds of thousands of installed systems, many of which are more than a dozen years old. The -Trade Up with Toshiba- program gives existing Toshiba customers the opportunity to trade in their legacy Toshiba business telephone systems for affordable new systems, empowering them to choose newer, application-rich systems that are right for them today,” said Brian Metherell, vice president and general manager of Toshiba America Information Systems Inc., Telecommunication Systems Division.

There are three ways for Toshiba customers to trade up their older Toshiba systems to a new Toshiba on-premises or cloud-based telephone system:

Users of legacy Toshiba business telephone systems, including Strata DK, Strata CTX and Strata CIX systems, can trade up to Toshiba-s VIPedge cloud-based business telephone solution and receive a free for every Toshiba EKT, DKT, or IP1000/2000 series telephone they trade in by December 31, 2013. From January 1, 2014 through March 31, 2014, s will be available for purchase at just $25 per handset for every Toshiba EKT, DKT, or IP1000/2000 series telephone traded in. Getting new IP telephones gives users a very affordable pathway to cloud telephony. For each telephone traded in, this promotion also requires a two-year VIPedge service contract.

Users of Toshiba-s legacy systems, including Strata DK, Strata CTX and Strata CIX, can trade up to a new IPedge business telephone system and get up to 50 percent off the purchase price of an IPedge user license with Call Manager Standard for each Toshiba EKT, DKT or IP1000/2000 series telephone traded in. This promotion also requires the purchase of a Toshiba IP telephone for each telephone traded in. This promotion runs through March 31, 2014.

Users of Toshiba-s legacy systems, including Strata DK, Strata CTX and smaller Strata CIX systems, can trade up to a new Strata CIX670 with R5 and IPedge as an application server. This promotion includes a $50 discount for each older Toshiba EKT, DKT, or IP1000/2000 series telephone model traded in towards the purchase of a new Toshiba 10- or 20-button . This trade-up offer requires the purchase of new digital station cards with sufficient ports to support the number of telephones purchased. This promotion gives users the benefit of an affordable, on-premises Strata CIX670 system with a significant savings on telephone costs. This promotion runs through March 31, 2014.

Toshiba is also offering a smooth migration path for users of applications, including Toshiba-s ACD/NetServer, TASKE call reporting, and OAISYS Tracer and Talkument® call recording solutions.

Toshiba offers one of the longest manufacturer-s warranties in the business telephone industry. Toshiba-s Value Plus warranty program offers a two-, three- or five-year manufacturer-s warranty on Toshiba-s IPedge systems plus up to seven-year warranties on Toshiba-s IP5000 series telephones. Toshiba also offers up to seven-year warranties on Strata CIX business telephone systems. Warranty service is provided by Toshiba-s nationwide network of .

Systems that are traded in become the property of the Authorized Toshiba Dealer. Authorized Toshiba Dealers are responsible for having systems recycled in a timely manner in accordance with all applicable laws, including using R2 or e-Steward certified recyclers.
