Jerry Yang Joins Workday Board of Directors

PLEASANTON, CA — (Marketwired) — 11/25/13 — . (NYSE: WDAY), a leader in enterprise cloud applications for global and , today announced the appointment of technology pioneer, Jerry Yang, to its Board of Directors. As a Director, Mr. Yang will offer his deep experience building technology products used by millions of people around the world as well as his leadership experience with global organizations, particularly in markets throughout Asia.

This appointment comes as Workday continues to build its business for the long term, taking advantage of technology shifts in cloud, mobile, and big data, as it helps global customers transform their businesses for future growth.

Mr. Yang is the founder of AME Cloud Ventures, a venture capital firm based in Palo Alto, California. Mr. Yang also co-founded Yahoo! Inc. in 1995 and served on the Board of Directors and as a key member of the executive management team until January 2012. While at Yahoo!, he led a number of initiatives, including two of the biggest investments in the Internet: Yahoo Japan and Alibaba Group.

Mr. Yang served as a director of Yahoo Japan Corporation (TSE: 4689) and Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. until January 2012; and he was a director of Cisco Systems, Inc. from July 2000 to November 2012. He currently serves as a board observer for Lenovo (HKSE: 992) (ADR: LNVGY). Mr. Yang holds a Master-s Degree and Bachelor-s Degree of Science in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and currently serves on Stanford University-s Board of Trustees.
