Crossroads Systems Files Patent Infringement Suits Against Tandberg, Dell, and Huawei

AUSTIN, TX — (Marketwired) — 11/26/13 — Crossroads Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: CRDS), a global provider of data archive solutions, filed complaints against Tandberg Data Corporation, Dell, Inc., Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd., Huawei Enterprise USA Inc., and Huawei Technologies USA Inc. in the federal district court in Austin, Texas, alleging infringement of U.S. Patents 6,425,035; 7,051,147; and 7,934,041. Crossroads seeks monetary damages and an injunction.

Crossroads asserts that Tandberg has incorporated Crossroads- patented technology into Tandberg-s BizNAS family of devices, DPS1000 Series Virtual Tape Libraries, and DPS2000 Series Network-Attached Data Protection Solution. Crossroads asserts that the Huawei entities have incorporated Crossroads- patented technology into Huawei-s OceanStor S2200T Storage System, OceanStor S6800T Storage System, and OceanStor T Series Unified Storage Systems. Crossroads asserts that Dell has incorporated Crossroads- patented technology into Dell-s PowerVault MD3200i, MD3600i and MD3600f systems.

The asserted patents cover technology that is fundamental to secure and efficient access to network storage systems. The asserted patents are part of Crossroads- -972 Patent Family. Since 2001, Crossroads has licensed the -972 Patent Family to more than 40 companies and received in excess of $60 million in license and settlement revenue.
