Glassdoor Unveils New Mobile-Optimized Site Redesign

SAUSALITO, CA — (Marketwired) — 10/29/14 — Nine in 10 (89 percent) job seekers report they are likely to use a mobile device during their job search in the next 12 months, according to a recent Glassdoor survey.(1) As mobile continues to play a larger role in the job search process, today , the leading jobs and recruiting community, revealed a new responsive site design, providing a cleaner and more consistent experience across any device. The redesign brings a richer experience to the homepage and throughout the site, making Glassdoor even easier to use and underscoring the important role consistency of design plays in cross-platform and multi-device user experience. The new homepage places a greater emphasis on workplace photos and employer branding, and showcases marquee Glassdoor programs such as the , honoring the Best Places to Work, and , recognizing employers committed to workplace transparency.

In addition to the sitewide redesign, Glassdoor has steadily rolled out a series of features that allow job seekers to get a clearer picture of what–s happening inside a company and find a job that best fits their experience and needs. Other recent enhancements to Glassdoor include:

For the more than 325,000 companies featured on Glassdoor, job seekers can now see ratings trends, showing how each company–s overall rating, CEO approval rating, workplace factor ratings (e.g., work-life balance, compensation & benefits) and more, have changed over time. In addition, job seekers can see the breakdown of ratings on a five-point scale (1.0=very dissatisfied, 5.0=very satisfied).

In addition to adding Ratings Trends, job seekers can gain a clearer picture of their total compensation package with an improved salaries pages design. The new design makes it even easier to compare base salary to total compensation packages by job title through visual depiction. Total compensation can include cash bonus, stock bonus, tips, profit sharing and commission sharing income.

Glassdoor–s new homepage puts more emphasis on job and company search. The design is elegant and clean, showcasing a central search bar helping members find jobs and navigate the site with ease. Its focus is on the entire job search experience, and all of Glassdoor–s offerings are clearly visible from the very top of the page.

For each company on Glassdoor, this new feature offers a look inside with an immediate snapshot of its workplace photos, uploaded by employees or the employer, including the ability to see larger, higher-resolution photos showcasing the company–s culture, work environment and people.

Glassdoor–s new responsive design helps its more than 2,000 clients and partners showcase their employer brand and open jobs. For example, employers can now choose to feature an attractive office photo and select company review directly on the Glassdoor homepage. This new design on Enhanced Profiles focuses on employer branding by highlighting a company–s job listings, , social media channels, videos and more, making it even easier to recruit talent. An employer–s branding is now integrated throughout the employer–s profile, not only on the company–s Overview Page, but also within the company reviews, salaries, interviews, jobs pages and more.

With the photo-centric homepage redesign, employers now have a greater branding opportunity through the Homepage Highlight photo. This employer-selected workplace photo and corresponding company review allows a company to showcase its employer brand and company culture to prospective talent.

In their , employers can now see highlights from their company reviews and more easily respond to reviews from employees. Employers can also filter reviews by those that would or would not recommend the company to a friend, those who approve and disapprove of the CEO, employee sentiment around business outlook and current employee reviews. In addition, employers can track reviews that they–ve responded to, and those they haven–t, making it easier to manage the company–s brand.
