CHICAGO, IL — (Marketwired) — 12/30/14 — a leading designer and marketer of award-winning automotive, mobile and consumer electronics, today announced the general availability of its newest Drive HD Dash Cam by Cobra, the Cobra CDR 825E, at the 2015 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES). The CDR 825E will be on display at Cobra Electronics booth from January 6-9 at the Las Vegas Convention Center at booth #9436 in the Central Hall. The announcement of the company–s newest Dash Cam model follows on the heels of news that its CDR 900E unit was recently awarded the Envisioneering Innovation and Design Award during ShowStoppers at IFA in Berlin, Germany.

The CDR 825E is the latest compact dash cam in the Drive HD Dash Cam by Cobra series, extending the company–s lead in this market. This new model sports a 2.7 inch LCD screen, the largest in the Drive HD Dash Cam by Cobra series, along with an extra wide 140 degree viewing angle delivering a full view of the road and peripherals without edge distortion. As with other Drive HD Dash Cams, the CDR 825E uses Continuous Loop Recording, which optimizes storage by automatically deleting old video clips to make room for the new. It also includes a G-Sensor, which senses sudden acceleration and collisions to automatically capture and protect critical footage before, during and immediately following an accident.

The CDR 825E records everything on the road in 1080P Full HD Video using an Ambarella chipset to ensure the industry–s best image quality and night time performance. The included 8GB Micro SD card, heavy duty suction cup mount, and cigarette lighter power adapter ensure that it is ready to use straight out of the box. Just mount on your windshield, apply power, and DRIVE! The new unit will be available to consumers in both North America and Europe.
