Digiflare Inc., a leader in the design and development of TV Everywhere (TVE) and Over-the-top (OTT) video applications, announce the hiring of Candice Edwards as SVP of Strategy and Business Development, and Ashley Desatnik as Senior Director of Business Development. Candice and Ashley bring a wealth of experience from major technology vendors and will provide additional senior leadership to help propel Digiflare–s current growth in the TV Network and Pay-TV Operator space. Digiflare is also proud to announce that David MacPhie has been promoted to Senior Director of Business Development and will continue to expand the footprint of its existing US TV partners that include both Broadcast and Cable Networks.

Prior to Digiflare, Ms. Edwards was responsible for driving new business initiatives in the media and entertainment sector for Ooyala (acquired by Telstra), widely recognized as a leading online video technology platform and analytics provider. She has held various senior positions with companies such as Oracle, Autonomy, and RealNetworks serving roles in sales, business development, and strategic alliances where she was responsible for identifying and developing new markets and industry partnerships. Candice holds a BSc in Management Science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University – Pamplin College of Business.
Ashley recently served as a senior leader and digital video strategist at BlackBerry. While at BlackBerry, Ashley was instrumental in creating strategic partnerships with major film studios and TV networks. He negotiated 50+ global licensing contracts, including all major film studios and TV networks for the global launch of the BlackBerry 10 (BB10) transactional download video service in USA, Canada, and UK. “Ashley is an accomplished business development executive whose industry experience will accelerate the growth of Digiflare as a leader in TV Everywhere solutions for Pay-TV Operators” said Mano Kulasingam, Co-CEO of Digiflare. Ashley holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering and MSc of Industrial Engineering from The University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa.
David MacPhie drives Digiflare–s partnerships with key US TV Networks and brings more than 10 years of product development experience working within the telecommunications and media space to the role. Prior to joining Digiflare, David was the Director of Mobile and Companion Viewing at Bell Media helping launch and monetize several TV Everywhere applications for brands that include TSN, CTV, Discovery and MTV Canada. David holds an Honours BA Economics degree from Wilfrid Laurier University.
