–Internet of Everything– Thought Leader Joins BuildingDNA Board of Directors

DENVER, CO — (Marketwired) — 03/02/15 — BuildingDNA (), developer of the BuildingDNA PaaS mapping platform for Smart Buildings and Crisis Management, announced today that Industry of Everything (IoE) thought leader and former Cisco Systems executive Rick Hutley has joined its Board of Directors. Rick provides BuildingDNA with powerful strategic guidance and industry access, and immediately elevates the company within the IoE and Smart Building community.

Now CEO of StrataThought, a strategic consulting company focused on the role of technology and its business implications, Rick previously served in various executive-level roles with Cisco Systems. During his tenure, he was at various times Vice President of three divisions with direct application to the BuildingDNA business model: Internet of Everything, Big Data & Analytics and Global Innovation. Rick is a noted speaker on the subject of the IoE, and was co-author of The World, the Economy, and You: New Opportunities for Technology-Driven Business Transformation ().

“We are proud to welcome industry influencer Rick Hutley to the BuildingDNA team,” stated BuildingDNA President and Founder Glenn Morris. “Rick is one of the world–s foremost authorities on technology in business innovation in general, and on the Internet of Everything in particular. He will be an invaluable advisor to BuildingDNA, and an unparalleled spokesperson and advocate for us in the Smart Building marketplace. We believe that the addition of Rick to our Board of Directors further validates our platform and immediately elevates our brand within the industry.”

Followed Rick Hutley, “The future is upon us — today every aspect of a facility, from a wall outlet to a boiler, can be connected to the Internet and communicating data real-time to a building manager. At Cisco we calculated that this Smart Building movement represents nearly $350 billion in value at stake. Even with all of the industry heavyweights claiming their territory in the space, only BuildingDNA provides a SmartMap for Smart Buildings — a dynamic, highly visual, sensor-integrated interface that distills all of this new data available into an easy-to-use tool for the end users. I see BuildingDNA as providing –visual intelligence– for Smart Buildings, and its potential to become the industry standard interface is very compelling. I am excited to help the company become a key player on the Smart Building stage.”

Its recurring revenue platform-as-a-service (PaaS) offering combines highly visual, dynamic indoor digital mapping with a “big data” consolidation platform. As the first building mapping solution to integrate live feeds from sensors, BuildingDNA is empowering the Internet of Things (IoT) in commercial facilities. The company has proof of concept and is revenue-generating, with 300 buildings already on the platform.
