Twentyseven Global Launches Cloud Application on Open Source Platform With Modern Architecture for Real Life 101

KANSAS CITY, MO — (Marketwired) — 04/14/15 — , a mobile and software development firm in Kansas City and Denver, launched a cloud-hosted application on an open-source platform that features modern web design for , a startup that helps teach important life skills to young adults. The platform Twentyseven Global launched is called Personal Finance 101, allowing teachers and students to interact and provide an online course for this important life skill.

, vice president of Twentyseven Global Denver, said, “Twentyseven Global loves to work with startups and Real Life 101 had a clear vision for their product. Delivering their product with a modern web architecture on an open source platform is right in our sweet spot. Our goal was to deliver a learning management system to the client that met their functional and design specifications. In addition, we wanted to build them a fully scalable solution so their business can grow without technological limitations.”

Real Life 101 discovered that teachers and students were short on time in the classroom to transmit important life skills to students. Also, since most teachers are not formally trained on financial planning, any education students did receive was not as comprehensive. Real Life 101 wanted an online personal finance course taught by a financial planning expert that still covered as much as a teacher would in a real classroom setting.

According to , co-founder of Real Life 101, “Twentyseven Global is professional, you can trust them and they manage the development process very well. Finding the right development team can be a difficult and expensive undertaking, and we–ve been burned a few times. It was so nice to work with a team that –just gets it.– We have learned that we can trust Twentyseven Global to deliver a product that matches our expectations.”

When designing the course, Real Life 101 wanted the course to be intuitive and reflect the look and feel of the brand. Twentyseven Global met those challenges in two parts. First, they built a teacher/administrator portal to allow admin to manage users, districts, schools and classes in addition to reporting capabilities. Second, they enhanced the Personal Finance 101 user interface.

said, “The primary challenge to our team was to carefully think through all of the possible use cases and document each of these so that the development team clearly understood the expected behaviors.”

The resulting Personal Finance 101 course guides students through the chapter content from a Road Map, which covers the main points and helps them understand their progress. The course is designed to be fluid so as to easily adapt to changes. Real Life 101 is also planning on future courses, such as College 101 and Careers 101, to provide new opportunities to help students become more successful.
