eHarmony Selects ThousandEyes to Support Global Expansion

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — (Marketwired) — 05/12/15 — , the company redefining network performance management, today announced that eHarmony is using ThousandEyes to ensure stringent service levels as the company expands to new countries. eHarmony is replacing its traditional network performance monitoring (NPM) solution with the more advanced capabilities of ThousandEyes, which provides unique visibility and intelligence into network performance across hybrid network infrastructures that span corporate networks, the Internet and cloud service providers.

“eHarmony relies on the Internet for our business so, as we grow our company, the need for our network operations and development operations teams to detect and resolve issues quickly and across multiple continents is critical,” said Thod Nguyen, Chief Technical Officer, eHarmony. “ThousandEyes enables us to monitor our own network as well as others we rely on for global delivery, enabling our teams to be proactive about potential problems before they negatively impact our service and our customers.”

eHarmony is a pioneer in using relationship science to match singles seeking long-term relationships. Its service presents users with compatible matches based on key dimensions of personality that are scientifically proven to predict highly successful long-term relationships. The company currently serves North America, the United Kingdom and Australia. The company plans to grow its global reach following its significant brand recognition and demand for its service. While eHarmony had an NPM solution in place, the company–s CTO was looking for more detailed insights and actionable data that would support a 99.9% service level agreement and help the company meet its business objectives. eHarmony is using ThousandEyes to proactively monitor its network, to trigger alerts and to identify performance trends and statistics. ThousandEyes reports and dashboards make information easily accessible and the company is continuing to deploy ThousandEyes on a broader scale.

Nguyen added, “Deploying ThousandEyes has been straightforward, with great support from their customer success team. It–s been an easy transition and ThousandEyes has already become part of our critical workflow.”

“The exercise of troubleshooting network performance is more complex than it has ever been, and used to take hours to pinpoint and resolve problems,” said Hav Mustamandy, Director of System Operations, eHarmony. “With ThousandEyes path visualization and deep drilldown capabilities, our network teams are now diagnosing issues in a few minutes. Better still, we–re detecting potential issues before they impact our customers, enabling us to spend more time on more strategic projects.”

“People trust eHarmony–s service for some of the most powerful journeys of their lives,” said Mohit Lad, CEO and Co-Founder of ThousandEyes. “There–s a mantra at eHarmony that –there–s always a better way to do things– and we couldn–t be more thrilled that they–ve chosen us to support them as they grow globally, delivering their exceptional, valuable and life-changing service to more and more people.”
