SmartMetric Develops Its Own Miniature Battery That Fits Inside a Credit Card to Power Its In-Card Biometric Fingerprint Scanner Used to Authenticate the Card User

NEW YORK, NY — (Marketwired) — 06/22/15 — SmartMetric, Inc. (OTCQB: SMME) SmartMetric has developed its own super thin rechargeable battery to power its powerful fingerprint “in-card” reader. The highly thin battery is built into its ground breaking biometric secure credit and debit chip cards. Realising the need for the card to work and scan a person–s fingerprint prior to it being inserted into an ATM machine, SmartMetric has devoted a great deal of time in building its own tiny rechargeable battery along with an advanced miniature internal power management system. The power management system controls the power usage driving the cards internal processor used to scan a person–s fingerprint as well as managing the recharging of the card–s internal battery.

“We are excited about the ground-breaking technology we have developed after years of research and development and are looking forward to the first mass production of our revolutionary biometric credit and debit cards by the end of July 2015,” said SmartMetric–s President & CEO, Chaya Hendrick, today.
