Kaminario Names Ken Dougherty VP of Sales for North America

Dougherty brings nearly two decades of IT sales and management experience with emerging and leading storage technology companies to head Kaminario–s regional sales team covering the United States, Mexico and Canada.

In the first half of 2015, Kaminario year-on-year sales grew 400%. Across the board, customers reported high-performing, cost efficient and non-disruptive K2 all-flash array architecture integrations. In response to this customer traction and to further accelerate its ability to capitalize on significant market opportunity, the company added enterprise technology sales veteran Dougherty.

Prior to joining Kaminario, Dougherty gained valuable sales experience with Hewlett-Packard. He spent the past two years at HP as vice president of sales for Eastern and Canadian regions, leading the HP Big Data business unit. During that time, he exceeded annual sales goals both years and was instrumental in making North America the leading region in sales for HP Big Data. Dougherty also served as an area director for four years, where he was responsible for numerous aspects of HP storage sales in the Eastern region. In that role, Dougherty–s team exceeded its goal of delivering double digit growth in each of the four years. In 2011, Dougherty received the “Worldwide Sales Leader of the Year Award” for HP–s Enterprise Group. Prior to HP, he served as the eastern vice president of sales at Compellent Technologies where his team delivered triple-digit year-over-year growth, exceeded annual targets and was recognized as one of the fastest growing regions in North America.
