Recruitment and Employment Confederation Backs Candidate Experience Awards as Gold-Level Supporter

SAN FRANCISCO, CA and LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM — (Marketwired) — 09/24/15 — Today Talent Board, a non-profit organization focused on the promotion and data benchmark research of a quality candidate experience, announced that the , the professional body dedicated to representing the whole of the recruitment industry, will support the program as a Gold-level supporter.

For the past few years, the CandE Awards have sought to recognize companies around the world that demonstrate an exemplary candidate experience. More than just an award competition, the CandE program also serves to benchmark the current recruiting strategies of participating companies and offer insight into the tools and best practices that can help them improve their candidate experience. Having undergone rapid growth an expansion since its founding, the CandE Awards has moved beyond its original North American program to include other regions. As the REC is committed to raising standards and highlighting excellence throughout the recruitment industry, its support of the CandEs program is a natural fit.

“The companies that deliver a transparent, engaging candidate experience will have an instant advantage over the competition, continually attracting top candidates and building robust pipelines of talent to which they can turn to fill key positions,” said Steve Othen, who heads up REC–s Good Recruitment Campaign, which provides free tools and guidance to in-house recruitment and HR teams. “We are pleased to work with Talent Board to help more companies recognize what they can do to adapt their recruiting practices and deliver an enhanced candidate experience.”

“REC and the CandE Awards share a common goal — to elevate the importance of the candidate experience in the recruitment process; through its work in educating the community on the best practices in recruitment, it is clear the organization values the role of candidate experience as much as we do,” said Ed Newman, Talent Board co-founder and vice president of Strategy for (formerly iMomentous). “We welcome REC as a Gold-level supporter for the program and look forward to working together to honor those companies that get the candidate experience right.”

The CandE Awards program consists of three survey rounds. Round One, now closed, is comprised of a multidimensional survey designed to capture and evaluate a company–s recruitment processes and practices that impact the candidate experience. Round Two takes the survey to the candidate through a random sampling of the company–s 2014-2015 candidates. Companies that meet criteria for both rounds will be awarded a “2015 CandE Award Winner” designation stamp. Round Three will involve an interview by a panel of judges, and based on the results of the previous two rounds, a subset of participants will become eligible for the “CandE with Distinction” honor.

The winners will be announced and celebrated at an awards banquet and reception later this year. For more information about the 2015 CandE Awards, visit: .
