DataStax Appoints Steve Rowland as Executive Vice President, Field Operations

SANTA CLARA, CA — (Marketwired) — 10/19/15 — , the company that delivers to the enterprise, today announced the appointment of Steve Rowland as executive vice president of field operations. Rowland joins DataStax from Apigee and has more than 20 years of experience building high performance teams and strong go-to-market strategies that result in exceptional customer experience.

Prior to leading Apigee through rapid growth and an IPO as head of worldwide field operations, Rowland was vice president of field operations for the Americas and Asia Pacific geographies at Blue Coat Systems and served as senior vice president of Worldwide Sales at Workbrain Corporation, which was sold to Infor Global Solutions. He spent eight years at BMC Software, where his last role was vice president of sales for a $320 million Global Division. He also held sales management positions at Carrier Corporation, a division of United Technologies Corporation.

Rowland holds a B.S. in Engineering from Texas A&M.
