Marin Software Partners With AppsFlyer, Tune, and Adjust for Faster Mobile Audience Onboarding

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — (Marketwired) — 11/02/15 — Marin Software Incorporated (NYSE: MRIN), provider of a leading cross-channel performance advertising cloud for advertisers and agencies, today announced new partnerships through which customers can immediately use their first-party data to seamlessly target mobile users, retarget them across devices, and keep them engaged after app installs.

Today, software development kits (SDKs) allow advertisers to collect in-app mobile event and engagement data. What we have learned is that mobile app retention is a significant challenge. Reports have shown that over 80% of mobile apps are abandoned within the first week of install. Quickly reaching and captivating those abandoners is essential, as up to 40% of users who do not return within the first day and 60% of users who do not re-engage within a week, will never return.

To address this challenge and keep mobile users engaged, marketers must be able to quickly onboard their mobile engagement data and integrate it into their media buying platform for seamless targeting.

Marin Software is excited to announce new data partnerships to the Audience Connect platform with mobile measurement and tracking solutions AppsFlyer, Tune, and adjust, so that marketers can quickly onboard their existing mobile audiences onto the Marin Display platform for retargeting — the result being that customers may now seamlessly sync in-app events into Marin Display and automatically build mobile audiences for retargeting with in-app banner and interstitial ads. These mobile audiences also are matched across devices through Marin Device Graph, enabling advertisers to target these app abandoners across the desktop and mobile exchanges.

For many advertisers, building, cultivating, and reaching the right audiences is a persistent concern. With Marin–s latest partnerships, customers can easily deliver the right messages to the right user, automatically launch tailored cross-device retargeting campaigns, and significantly improve mobile app retention and engagement rates.

“The integration between AppsFlyer and Marin Software opens fantastic opportunities for mobile app marketers. By tracking the impact of each media source and campaign across channels, marketers can optimize their paid, owned, and earned media performance in real-time and maximize their impact,” said Elad Mashiach, Director of Business Development at AppsFlyer.

“We–re excited about our partnership with Marin Software. This integration will allow our customers to simplify their mobile and cross-device marketing by syncing our comprehensive measurement capabilities with Marin–s advanced targeting capabilities,” said Micah Gantman, VP of Strategy and Business Development at Tune.

“We–re extremely excited to announce our integration with Marin Software,” said Christian Henschel, adjust CEO. “With the new partnership between Marin Display and adjust, users will benefit from heightened analytics solutions resulting in even better retargeting campaigns and prospecting solutions.”

“First-party data is vital to any marketing strategy,” said John McNulty, Head of Global Marketing at Marin Software. “Even so, if you can–t unlock the value of that first-party data, you–re dead in the water. And, if you can–t retarget app users effectively, you–ve lost a huge number of them to abandonment. Our new partnerships with AppsFlyer, Tune, and adjust provide the cross-channel, cross-device retargeting and prospecting capabilities that result valuable and effective measurement and usage of in-app event data.”
