Huddle Adds the Department of Defense and the Department of Health and Human Services to Its List of FedRAMP Authorizing Federal Agencies

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — (Marketwired) — 12/16/15 — , the leader in secure cloud collaboration tools for enterprise and government, today announced that both the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) have been added to its growing list of FedRAMP authorizing agencies.

With the goal of accelerating the adoption of secure cloud solutions across the U.S. government, the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) provides a standardized approach to security assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring of cloud products and services. Huddle was the first cloud collaboration provider to achieve FedRAMP Authority to Operate (ATO).

“Having already achieved FedRAMP authorization from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) earlier this year, we have further proven our value as a trusted and secure SaaS provider for the U.S. government,” said Rick Barnard, Head of US Public Sector, Huddle. “With a growing list of authorizing agencies, potential government customers can review the independent security assessment report and choose Huddle with confidence, without having to conduct their own security evaluation. As a result we expect to see accelerated growth in the U.S. government in the months to come. Huddle has established itself as the cloud collaboration solution of choice for government and public sector organizations internationally.”

“From its inception, Huddle was designed as a secure collaboration platform for the enterprise and government — security is in our DNA,” said Morten Brøgger, CEO, Huddle. “As such we have been able to collect security accreditations (FedRAMP, ISO27001) faster than others in our market. We are pleased to add the Department of Defense and the Department of Health and Human Services to our growing list of U.S. government partners and look forward to serving as a continued resource for secure collaboration for government agencies.”

Today, Huddle–s government customers include 80 percent of UK government departments, NASA, the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the National Institutes for Health, and other agencies across the US Federal Government.

The most trusted solution for content collaboration in government, Huddle–s cloud-based workspaces make it easy for internal teams and clients to collaborate in a secure, shared environment.
