BlueJeans Appoints Enterprise Veteran Lori Wright as Chief Marketing Officer

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA — (Marketwired) — 03/22/16 — , the global leader in cloud-based video communications, today announced the appointment of Lori Wright as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). At BlueJeans, Wright will lead global marketing efforts and drive awareness of the rapid growth and transformative business benefits of video usage across the workforce. BlueJeans has been one of Silicon Valley–s great success stories, growing extraordinarily fast by finally making corporate video easy to use for employees, partners, and customers. This announcement coincides with a new global study the company released today revealing that enterprises that use –live video– experiences create more collaborative environments for their workforce, and those that don–t are at risk of alienating their next generation of tech-savvy employees and customers.

“BlueJeans is at the tipping point of the business video revolution,” said Lori Wright, CMO of BlueJeans. “Video has become pervasive in our personal lives, and businesses must now deliver on the visual connection people have come to expect. Enterprises that have embraced live video have much stronger cultures and relationships with their customers. It–s a clear competitive advantage in the corporate world, and will be even more visible in the years to come.”

“The future for BlueJeans is in accelerating the advancements of video experiences that people love; video experiences that are simple, work the same across every screen and device, and surprise and delight with every use,” said Mike Mansbach, President of BlueJeans. “Lori knows how new technology can transform the enterprise and her expertise will amplify our message and bring business video communication into the next era.”

Most recently, Lori served as CMO of TIBCO, where she led the global marketing team. Prior to that, she was Vice President at Symantec leading the worldwide e-commerce group for Norton, with nearly $2 billion in annual sales. Lori has also held executive positions within Symantec–s SMB, Cloud, and Healthcare divisions. She was previously at VERITAS Software prior to its acquisition by Symantec.

BlueJeans has raised over $175 M since inception, and recently announced its pre-IPO financing led by New Enterprise Associates (“NEA”) in September of 2015. Former MLB all-star Derek Jeter, along with existing investors Accel Partners, Battery Ventures, and Norwest Venture Partners, also participated in the round.

Blue Jeans offers the most comprehensive portfolio of cloud-based video communications for person-to-person collaboration, meetings, events, and experiences. Trusted by the world–s leading brands, ranging from high growth start-ups to the Fortune 100, organizations like Netflix, Facebook, Sephora, Rosetta Stone, Red Hat, Atlassian, Seattle Children–s Hospital, and Stanford University leverage over 1 billion minutes of video communications a year through BlueJeans.

At BlueJeans Network, we create video experiences that people love, and are also trusted by the IT organizations of the world–s leading brands.
