The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Leverages Adaptive Insights Software to Drive Financial Collaboration, Accountability and Transparency

PALO ALTO, CA — (Marketwired) — 04/26/16 — Adaptive Insights, the leader in cloud corporate performance management (CPM), today announced that The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) has implemented Adaptive Insights– software to optimize its operations, aiding in its effort to ensure funds raised are most efficiently used toward advancing lifesaving treatments and improving the quality of life for those with blood cancers. To that end, LLS has deployed the software across all of its 64 chapters in the United States and Canada, providing enhanced financial planning and analysis capabilities to more than 400 LLS leaders and staff. The enhanced functionality is helping facilitate greater financial collaboration, accountability, and transparency throughout the organization.

“As responsible stewards of the funds donated to LLS, we are committed to providing the most updated technology and access to those in our organization responsible for financial management,” said Nathan Taylor, vice president financial planning & analysis at LLS. “The increased visibility and access to financial data across our organization will provide our staff, donors, and other constituents an increased level of confidence in LLS–s ability to efficiently deliver our mission across research, patient access and advocacy.”

The Adaptive Insights CPM suite is enabling Taylor and his team to obtain accurate metrics on business drivers, which will enhance decision-making time and effectiveness. The adoption of monthly reporting tools and real-time collaboration provides new support to LLS–s staff, whose main charge is fundraising. Looking ahead, LLS will utilize Adaptive Insights– planning tools for even greater accuracy in budgeting and forecasting across the LLS organization.

“This is one of many proof points that financial transformation can lead to so much more — saving people–s lives,” said Tom Bogan, CEO of Adaptive Insights. “It is inspiring to see how an organization as impactful as LLS has embraced our solution and involved employees across all chapters and functions. This collaborative finance model enables tremendous time and cost efficiencies, which translates into more funding to find cures.”

Today, there are more than 1.1 million Americans living with, or in remission from, a blood cancer. In its 66-year history, LLS has invested more than $1 billion in research to advance lifesaving treatments and cures. “As the world–s leading non-profit voluntary organization dedicated to fighting blood cancers, it–s imperative that LLS has the tools it needs to invest in cures and access to treatments,” explained Taylor.

Having deployed Adaptive Planning and OfficeConnect, LLS is further able to maintain its focus on raising funds, manage its financial operations and drive investment in cures. Since adopting Adaptive Insights, LLS has reduced the time to consolidate and report financials from hours to minutes, allowing greater time applied to deeper level analysis and scenario planning. With faster and enhanced understanding of the organization–s financial position, management is better able to evaluate performance against strategic goals and apply those insights in planning forward.

LLS will also present “Boosting Companywide Engagement in the Planning Process” at tomorrow at 1:00p.m. Adaptive Live, the Adaptive Insights user conference, is being held April 27-28 at the San Jose Convention Center, where 1400+ finance professionals will gather for insights, training and networking.
