Agari Appoints New CEO Ravi Khatod

SAN MATEO, CA — (Marketwired) — 06/13/16 — , a leading cybersecurity company, today announced that Ravi Khatod has joined the company as chief executive officer. Khatod brings more than 20 years of experience as an entrepreneurial leader with deep domain experience in security and IT operations. As CEO of Agari, Khatod will be responsible for the company–s next stage of growth, and leading the company–s vision to enable both companies and consumers to once again –trust– their email.

“We have created an amazing company and developed an industry-changing security platform. I am so proud to count many of the world–s largest enterprises — including six of the top ten banks and five of the world–s leading social media networks — among our customers. Agari–s market opportunities, products, people and strategic partners have never been stronger, and now is the time to take the company to the next stage of growth,” said Peterson. “I can think of no one better to lead Agari to this next stage than Ravi Khatod. His deep domain expertise, combined with his track record of driving triple digit growth for companies like Agari, make him the perfect choice to lead us to the next level of success.”

Khatod is a seasoned executive with a background in cloud, mobile, network, and desktop security. He has helped lead, transform and grow several enterprise-focused startups to more than $100M in sales, including AppSense and IronPort. Khatod was most recently the chief operating officer of Bromium, a pioneer in next-generation endpoint security. In this role, he helped drive the company through four quarters of successive growth, raised $40M in Series D funding, and successfully built the senior leadership team.

“Email remains the #1 productivity tool for business-to-business and business-to-consumer digital communication. However, it is also the #1 attack vector for all major data breaches due to the increased use of targeted phishing attacks by cybercriminals. This is creating a culture where people are being trained to not trust email, which negatively impacts business productivity,” said Khatod. “Agari is the only company with the ability to change this situation and restore trust across digital communications.

As Founder and Executive Chairman for Agari, Peterson will continue to serve a leadership role, supporting Agari–s growth initiatives by working closely with its customers and partners to further the company–s roadmap and vision.
