Wake Spaces Empowers Large Design Teams to Build an Open Creative Process

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — (Marketwired) — 06/30/16 — Design teams can now collaborate more openly than ever before as Wake, the most popular workflow tool for designers, introduces Spaces for teams.

Spaces simplifies the communication process for designers, and adds a number of new features that Wake users have been asking for, including:

Brand cohesion is a major challenge for large companies who have several designers across multiple teams. Now teams can organize Wake by department, making it easy to collaborate on projects across the company or get inspired by what other teams are working on.

Standard project management systems lack a strong visual element. With spaces, designers and teams can track their progress visually by tagging work as Ideas, In Progress, Specs, and Final, allowing for more context-aware feedback and collaboration.

Choose which team members can view what accounts and projects or leave them public for everyone to view.

For design teams with multiple clients, Spaces is a great way to quickly share new design opportunities, giving teams ammo to pitch new work to clients and store ideas for future projects.

When former Facebook designer Chris Kalani launched Wake last year, 350 companies signed up within the first month, including AirBnb, Netflix, and Uber. Wake has since served as a private space for teams at WeWork, Stripe, OpenTable, Facebook, and many more to share and discuss projects in real time, enabling them to save time and optimize communication.

“With about 20 members on our design team across multiple offices, Wake allows us to visually share not just with our team but throughout the company, including our executive team,” said Kyle Caruso, Product Design Producer at Evernote. “We are very excited about being more transparent with design across different teams, and Spaces allows us to easily organize and focus in on our main projects.”

“Every Friday we share our design process through Wake on the office TVs so everyone knows what we are working on,” said Jordan Gadapee, VP of Design at Radius. “Spaces allows us controlled transparency to share design work with the rest of the company when we feel it–s ready for their feedback.”

“The amount of sharing on Wake has grown quickly, and it was time to add some lightweight organization to help designers streamline their workflow,” said Wake CEO Chris Kalani. “We are so excited to see teams using Wake to open up their process, build transparency across the company, and ultimately create better work that makes a difference.”

Spaces is available for all Wake Enterprise customers. If you have any further question please send them to .

Wake is building a better way for teams to share ideas and design products. Founded in San Francisco by former Facebook designer Chris Kalani, Wake empowers teams to collaborate visually with a private space to share and discuss design work and integrates with critical tools designers use such as Sketch, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Launched in 2015, Wake has become a favorite of design teams at companies like Capital One, Netflix, Facebook, Evernote, and many others. Learn more at .
