HR Gives Back Again: Organization Returns to HR Tech Conference to Help Community Change the World

CHICAGO, IL — (Marketwired) — 09/20/16 — , an all-volunteer effort to connect the generosity of the HR Technology community to worthy causes, today announced details of its ongoing mission to help the community change the world by giving back. Now in its second year, the organization will return to the , taking place October 4-7, 2016 at McCormick Place in Chicago, to raise funds for and the .

“The HR Tech Conference is one of the largest gatherings of HR professionals in the world, making it the perfect opportunity to leverage the community–s collective giving power,” said HR Gives Back co-founder Mollie Lombardi, a leading analyst in the human capital management space. “We were truly amazed by the generosity of the community last year and their eagerness to help us find a cure for Parkinson–s. Given this enthusiasm, it was only natural that we bring HR Gives Back to the event in Chicago this year and extend our support to another worthy cause.”

Following its highly successful launch at the 2015 HR Tech Conference, in which HR Gives Back raised almost $44,000 in support of The Michael J. Fox Foundation, the organization will continue its goal to help find a cure for Parkinson–s disease at the 2016 event. In addition, HR Gives Back will support the American Heart Association this year and its mission to build healthier lives free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.

HR Gives Back also hopes to nearly double the amount raised last year — a goal of $75,000 for 2016 — with the two organizations receiving 100 percent of the profits. The total amount raised will be announced on the final day of the conference.

To further raise awareness of HR Gives Back, Brazen, a sponsor of the organization, will host a on September 28, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. EDT. Through this open networking event, HR Gives Back sponsors and HR Tech Conference attendees can interact and connect through online chat sessions and special “booths” themed after various HR topics. As a result, participants can chat with other attendees and build their network before the conference begins.

In addition to Brazen, HR Gives Back is sponsored by Workday, Cornerstone OnDemand, Ultimate Software, Ceridian, The Devon Group, InfluenceHR by The Starr Conspiracy, Workforce Software, GreenJobInterview, Equifax, WorkHuman by Globoforce, and HR.com.

“HR Gives Back is honored to partner with so many organizations helping to draw attention to some of the biggest health issues of today and support the organizations working to solve them,” Lombardi added. “We are also grateful to the HR Technology Conference for once again providing the platform to raise awareness of these worthy causes.”
