Moving to HTTPS: only 31.5% of domains use secure pages

The analysis showed that the industry with the highest number of websites that use HTTPS in these top 5,000 domains was . SEMrush discovered an interesting HTTPS usage trend among the companies in the Fortune 500 list.

According to the findings, companies in the and sectors had the highest percentage of HTTPS usage at 70 percent and 73 percent, respectively. (8 percent) and (9 percent) are the sectors with the lowest percentage of HTTPS usage.

The SEMrush team analyzed the correlation between SERP positions and HTTPS usage. They sampled 100,000 random keywords using SEMrush data and discovered that of results in the first position and of results in the second position used HTTPS.
