Leading engineering design consultancy TB+A choose Velo for identity refresh

UK based design consultancy Troup Bywaters + Anders (TB+A), the leading engineering partnership responsible for some of the UKs most iconic buildings (The Shard, News UK HQ, ITV Media Studios to name a few), has appointed Velo as their exclusive digital agency.

The business has achieved growth organically over the last ten years and now has eight design centres across the UK, employing 210 people. They have received significant industry recognition and awards, most recently the prestigious Princess Royal Training Award which honours employers in the UK who have created outstanding training and skills development programmes and –Investors in People Platinum accreditation– one of the first companies in the UK to achieve this standard. In-line with this success and growth, they have recognised the need to enhance their marketing portfolio to present the high-performing building services they provide in the very best light.

Peter Anderson, Managing Partner of TB+A, said:
“The entire Velo team’s real understanding of our business, our culture and market were evident early on. Their Creative Director, Matt Scutt–s concept work then made it an easy choice. So much of our communication is now digital that choosing an agency partner with strong expertise in this area made real sense”.

As part of the project, Velo were commissioned to update all internal and external communication channels to raise the standard and reflect the strategic priorities of the business.

Velo has produced a series of marketing assets including a newly designed and developed website; www.tbanda.com, a new intranet, a new toolkit of bid documentation (including over 250 case studies of recent work and individual CVs for every member of staff), as well as office redecoration and digital media to support all parts of the business. All new activity follows a new visual identity, photography and editorial style, which captures the dynamic, authentic and fresh feel required by the brief and represents a strengthening of brand that TB+A are proud of.

Paul Crabtree, MD of Velo “TB+A are too modest about their achievements and how they go about their business. They’ve worked on some of the most iconic projects up and down the UK and it’s been a pleasure working with them to share and broadcast their story out into the world.”

Having established the relationship with them in early April 2016, the work is already delivering uplifts in engagement and performance. There’s been an immediate increase in invitations to bid for new projects, requests for press coverage and more Apprentice applications during National Apprenticeship week than in previous years.
