Apkudo to Speak, Sponsor and Exhibit at AnDevCon II

BALTIMORE, MD and SAN FRANCISCO, CA — (Marketwire) — 11/02/11 — , an Android innovation start-up, today announced that it will sponsor and exhibit at , scheduled for November 6-9, in San Francisco. Apkudo CTO, Nicholas Fitzroy-Dale, will also present a class on app testing methods (“Testing Sucks, But It Doesn-t Have To”), scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 9, from 2:15 pm to 3:15 pm.

Testing for Android is painful — it-s a manual, tedious process. With huge variation among the hundreds of available Android devices, it-s practically impossible to release an app with the confidence that it will work for everyone.

Apkudo is focused on tackling that challenge. The free Apkudo test platform lets developers install, execute, and exercise their apps on every Android device, getting back a report with streaming video, screenshots, and any execution problems that occur. By seeing their apps run on every device before their users do, developers can anticipate problems, rectify device compatibility issues, and take the anxiety out of launching.

The class will demonstrate the test platform and describe the philosophy behind the Apkudo testing approach, along with the tools advocated by Apkudo engineers for low-effort, high-return testing. In particular, it will discuss the advantages, limitations, and use of Monkey, one of the standard Android utilities. Participants will learn that testing doesn-t have to suck, and that it is possible to take the monotony and pain out of the Android testing experience.

Apkudo will also demonstrate their offering on the AnDevCon exhibit floor at booth #606. Developers are encouraged to come by, meet the team, discuss Android testing and, of course, receive a very stylish Apkudo t-shirt.
