Hyper-Local Ad Sales Set to Launch via DigitalTown Network

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — (Marketwire) — 01/23/12 — DigitalTown, Inc. (OTCQB: DGTW) (PINKSHEETS: DGTW) is set to launch its long anticipated hyper-local ad network Tuesday, January 24, 2012 across its 20,000 plus high school sports sites.

National and local advertisers will now be able to place ads on any local website in the DigitalTown Network. Inside each website, an advertiser can pick the sport or team of their choice including 18,000 basketball teams, 15,000 football teams and 8,500 boys- and girls- lacrosse teams. DigitalTown currently has nationwide scores, schedules and rankings listed for these teams with cross-linked schedules for each team.

This is a game changer for local businesses that will now be able to reach out at this truly hyper-local network level, the largest of its kind targeting a specific audience — high school sports. With every school district represented in the country, a small business with, for example, seven store locations can now advertise each location in that local district in a unique website.

Ad prices will range from $40 to $125 per month with site-wide corporate sponsorship packages available. In this troubled US economy, these ad choices will give a very aggressive and affordable solution that will compete against print and local TV advertising options.

With a projected $5,000 minimum average annual sales per site, this launch represents more than $100 million in ad sales potential for DigitalTown. With its first website reaching the $5,000 goal at launch, DigitalTown is moving on to its next 35 to 70 sites targeting Minnesota, Wisconsin, Florida and Washington.

In February, 2012 DigitalTown will announce its NIAAA (National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association ) benefits program for its Athletic Director members. With over 8,000 Athletic Directors representing almost 10,000 schools, Districts will be able to participant in the ad revenue share program at the school and team level. The need for revenue generating programs is now at an all time high as budgets are being cut at local schools.

DigitalTown, Inc. in Burnsville, MN is developing a nationwide network of more than 20,000 local online communities for high school students, alumni, boosters and local citizens. For more information, please visit .
