New software version for an integrated system analysis – ITI presents SimulationX 3.2 in new design

ITI actively supports the development of the object-oriented description language Modelica for the standard physical modeling. User of SimulationX 3.2 now can access the Modelica MBS and the new Modelica Fluid library, thereby the complete range of Modelica standard libraries is available. The pooling of parameters to dialog pages and groups as well as the conditioned visibility of parameters can be defined with Modelica. With modifications and re-declarations the development of flexible reusable models is supported, and the comfortable graphical SimulationX user interface has been expanded. In the version 3.2 the guideline of the permitted model variants is now integrated clearly in the user interface.

For the modeling of thermo fluid technical systems within heat engineering, power engineering, cooling technology and drying technology the Modelica libraries “TIL” and “TILMedia”, developed together with TLK-Thermo GmbH and the institute of thermodynamics of the University of Braunschweig, are now available in SimulationX, with which the user will be supported optimally in the steady-state and transient simulation of heat pumps, air conditions and cooling systems.

A special performance feature of ITI simulation solutions is their flexibility. Typical features are the executable and approved interfaces to real-time platforms. Therewith, ITI belongs to the first suppliers of approved interfaces that without difficulty facilitate the transfer to HiL-simulation in conjunction with electronic devices. As a result the model transfer is accelerated significantly and the effort for cost-intensive tests on prototypes is considerably minimized. With the version 3.2 the SimulationX module for the code export has been significantly enhanced so that a bigger solver range and extensive settings for the code generation can be used. And the algorithms to localize points of discontinuity have been optimized, an improvement of performance and robustness has been realized. Moreover the display of error courses has been improved.

“SimulationX 3.2 is a cornerstone for our tool user in every technical development departments in the industry” sums up Jens O. Schindler, Managing Director ITI GmbH and adds: “With SimulationX 3.2 we turn the high demands of modern simulations tools into reality. Our tool is the driving force within the integrated system simulation. Model libraries and validated model components are designed and tested in cooperation with numerous partners from industry, research and education.
