Summit Semiconductor Introduces the First WiSA Compliant Amplifiers for Wireless Home Theater Speaker Applications

PORTLAND, OR — (Marketwire) — 12/20/12 — a leader in advanced wireless audio technologies and an advisory board member of the Wireless Speaker and Audio Association, announces the availability of five new amplifier reference designs for speaker manufacture integration. The new amplifiers are compliant with the current version of the WiSA (CTS). The CTS outlines an interoperability testing and certification program aimed at products that offer wireless, interference-free, uncompressed high definition audio by taking advantage of the unique 5GHz Unlicensed National Information Infrastructure (U-NII) frequency band.

Integrated ultrasonic circuitry for surround speakers (MyZone support)
