BLiNQ Ships NLOS Small Cell Backhaul Solution for Mobile Networks

PLANO, TX — (Marketwire) — 01/29/13 — , Inc., the pioneer in small cell , today announced that the X-100 small cell backhaul solution is generally available and shipping. The intelligent solution is self-configuring and uses patent pending interference management technology to maximize capacity and reliability of wireless backhaul in true non-line-of-sight conditions. Due to the rapid increase in video and data demand, many mobile sites are reaching their capacity creating capacity hotspots. For the first time, mobile operators are now able to deploy small cells exactly where they are needed to eliminate capacity hotspots while significantly reducing the time and expense associated with traditional backhaul solutions.

The X-100 is a very cost effective solution providing 30% cost savings over line-of-sight microwave and millimeter wave solutions as well as 55% cost savings as compared to fiber optical backhaul. The solution is easily installed in less than 15 minutes by a single technician and is self-configuring, further reducing long term operating costs. The solution offers breakthrough capacity of 83 Mbps in a 10 MHz bandwidth channel.

“We have worked closely with Global Tier 1 carriers to understand the technology, economic and deployment challenges of small cell backhaul. The X-100 is our introductory product that brings it all together to provide operators an ability to deploy small cells very quickly,” said Mickey Miller, CEO at BLiNQ Networks.

BLiNQ is rapidly gaining industry-wide recognition for its innovative small cell backhaul solution. The company was also recently named to the annual , “Fierce 15” list, designating it as one of the top privately-held wireless companies of the year.

The X-100 is available in both low-cost licensed and non-exclusive licensed spectrum.
