This alliance will expand the capacity of RightsWATCH to more easily classify and protect unstructured information to include the ubiquitous PDF format.
RightsWATCH allows enterprises to have information such as documents, spreadsheets, and email messages dynamically classified and encrypted to ensure that only valid recipients can use that information. In addition, the technology automatically adds secure watermarking and fingerprinting elements, based on characteristics of the information such as content, attachments and headers. Foxit PDF Security Suite is a collection of products targeted to Microsoft® Active Directory® Rights Management Services (AD RMS) customers who require rights management and secure watermarking of their PDF documents. The alliance between Watchful Software and Foxit allows the extension of this protection to PDF documents by incorporating the Foxit PDF Security Suite into the RightsWATCH platform, including the popular Foxit Reader which is in use by enterprises worldwide.

Under the alliance, documents of almost every file type can be converted into PDF and encrypted. These documents can all be managed by the RightsWATCH multilevel security model so that only users with the appropriate credentials can open, read, or otherwise use the information. The Foxit Reader then allows seamless read capability of those PDF documents, enforcing the rights management security.
The integrated solution of RightsWATCH featuring Foxit technology is in general availability now.
