With more than 11 billion records to date, the database generates CARFAX Vehicle History Reports (VHR) and other products that help millions of people buy and sell used cars with more confidence.
The environment being replaced by MongoDB is a legacy VMS-based platform system that became cumbersome and too expensive to operate and maintain. MongoDB provides a dramatic improvement in performance, both in batch and transactional data delivery. This increase in performance will result in many years of growth at a fraction of the footprint that the legacy platform required.
