SRCH2 Launches New Enterprise Search Software, Supports 40 New Languages

IRVINE, CA — (Marketwired) — 05/22/13 — , an innovator of “Google-like” corporate search tools, today took its enterprise search software global with the launch of SRCH2 3.0. This week at in New York and in Irvine, Calif., SRCH2 is highlighting its new version, which features support for characters of 40 new languages, including both Simplified and Traditional Chinese. In addition, version 3.0 makes rich search even faster and easier. To achieve this goal, SRCH2-s team of data scientists shrank the binary size, reduced the index size, and improved the speed of saving and loading indexes.

SRCH2 CEO Dev Bhatia commented, “The entire stack has been renovated, rebuilt, reconfigured, and sped up over the last few years with new data, structures, memory footprints, platforms, and contexts for data-driven apps. But legacy search tools haven-t kept up. It-s time to take a fresh approach. A revolutionary approach; and that is what we-ve done with SRCH2.”

Targeted to data-driven sites, apps and devices in mobile, e-commerce, social, and emerging platforms, SRCH2 is search software rebuilt and reimagined as a profit center and key differentiator. Some of SRCH2-s powerful features include:

Instant Forward Search: Google released “Instant Search” in 2010. Users loved the feature, which gave them new choices with every keystroke and helped them find what they wanted, a lot faster. But search at every other site or app hasn-t kept up. That-s because their search software can-t do what Google-s can do. Until now. SRCH2 enables instant forward search that is faster, more relevant and easier to implement than any other choice.

Rapid Geo Search: Being able to search for nearby information is increasingly important. Think about all the data-driven apps on handsets, or GPS, or any Internet-enabled device. Think about maps, restaurant listings, social apps, store finders, inventory checks, real estate listings. And now think about their mobile search boxes. SRCH2 does super-fast geo search.

Error Tolerance: Guess wht? Peopl make tyops. It happens. And on mobile and non-traditional devices, it happens a lot. With SRCH2, they-re just not as costly because SRCH2 finds what users are looking for. Developers can configure error tolerance to suit their business needs.

Ranking customization: Can search support core business requirements? How about if search results were easily configured so that they could prioritize profitability? For example, e-commerce retailers might display only items in-stock, or those that sell the most. The possibilities are endless.

Real-time updates: Most search software has to lock or slow down inbound queries while data is being updated and re-indexed. Not SRCH2. It can be configured to index information as it comes in, with no lock or performance denigration.

All-in-one: Until now, developers have had to choose which of these features they want, and pay a high performance price for it. SRCH2 delivers all of them in one highly-configurable solution, which just works, with no custom development.

A number of trends in the world of data and computing have sparked the development of SRCH2. Among them are the rapid decline of memory cost, the rapid expansion of in-house data, much of it unstructured or semi-structured, the rise of new platforms and the explosion of data-driven apps and sites.

“By thinking of search as a profit-center and key differentiator, SRCH2 reinvented corporate search boxes,” said Bhatia. “Then, we made our product better and faster. Next, we tore it down and rebuilt it again so that it could work on 40 languages. The market for search in China alone is massive. With this one product launch, we-re greatly expanding SRCH2-s total addressable market, with a fresh solution for developers where there-s often no legacy risk. These are exactly the kinds of greenfield market opportunities that are fitting for new enterprise software — where developers are more willing to take leaps into next-gen opportunities that make their jobs easier, unrestrained by commitments to legacy search implementations.”

“Google has a powerful ability to inform our expectations for the search experience on any other website, mobile site, app, or device,” said search expert Karl Hampson, group board director at Realise, a leading UK digital agency. “SRCH2-s laser focus on making forward search beautifully simple means this expectation can now be a reality wherever there is a search box, on any device. There is no excuse for poor search. SRCH2 should be everywhere, the opportunity is massive and global.”

SRCH2 3.0 comes with full support for characters of the following languages: Arabic, Bulgarian, Burmese (Zawgyi encoding), Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Farsi, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese (katakana & hiragana), Kazakh, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Portuguese (European), Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish (European), Spanish (Latin), Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, and Vietnamese.

For data-driven sites, apps and devices in mobile, e-commerce, social, and emerging platforms who view search as a mission-critical differentiator, SRCH2 is search software reimagined. It gives them advanced search features with zero investment in development, reconfiguration, or modification, 31 times faster than what they might have otherwise. Unlike Lucene and search engines built on top of it, SRCH2 was built from the ground up to address the unmet needs of the data-driven world. SRCH2 is Search Forward. To learn more, please visit .
