(NSi), a leading provider of paper and electronic document capture and output management solutions, geared up this weekend to ride in the , in Reston, Virginia. Team NSi, which included more than cycled a combined 12 hundred miles and raised nearly $25 thousand to help find a cure for the millions of people in the U.S. who live with diabetes. This is the third consecutive year NSi has participated in the Tour de Cure.

According to the an estimated 25.8 million children and adults, or 8.3 percent of the U.S. population, have diabetes. Diabetes is the leading cause of kidney failure, heart disease and stroke and is the seventh leading cause of death in the United States.
The Tour de Cure is a series of fundraising cycling events held in 40 states nationwide to benefit the American Diabetes Association. The Tour is a ride, not a race, with routes designed for everyone from the occasional rider to the experienced cyclist. In 2012, more than 62,000 cyclists in 95 events raised more than $26 million to support the mission of the American Diabetes Association. Participants in the one day event in Reston this past Sunday raised over $700K for the American Diabetes Association.
