Doro Helps Canadian Baby Boomers Stay Connected

TORONTO, ONTARIO — (Marketwired) — 06/25/13 — Doro AB, the world leader of easy-to-use mobile phones, recently launched the Doro PhoneEasy® 620 and the PhoneEasy® 520X- the latest in accessible mobile technology.

Approximately 80 percent of people over 65 years of age now have access to a mobile phone. Half the population of seniors want a reliable, stylish and easy-to-use feature phone according to a study conducted by IPSOS for Doro. Additional statistics reveal that most over people over age 65 report experiencing vision problems, while 29 percent report some level of hearing loss and 42 percent report challenges with gripping and handling objects.(1)

The Doro PhoneEasy® 620 is a flip phone that provides clear sound and features which focus on ease of use. The second is the Doro PhoneEasy® 520X, which features large buttons, a dial up safety alarm and flashlight. Additional features include a flash camera, great sound, and a sharp colour display.

Doro aims to address common concerns by people who do not engage with their technology on a positive level since it is not designed with their needs in mind. Doro works to remove the barriers and to ensure the user enjoys a positive journey with their device. Doro is available in Canada at Rogers Communications Inc, Zoomer Wireless and Cityfone. New devices at Rogers are eligible for a senior-s plan starting at $18 (CAD) per month.
