Hipcricket Helps Train Next Generation of Mobile Advertising and Marketing Professionals

KIRKLAND, WA — (Marketwired) — 08/06/13 — Employees of Hipcricket®, Inc. (“Hipcricket”), the one-stop and subsidiary of Augme® Technologies, Inc. (OTCQB: AUGT) (or “Augme”), are training the next wave of mobile advertising and marketing leaders at nationally recognized universities.

Hipcricket employees are teaching students at University of Washington, New York University, and Fordham University the skills needed to develop and execute mobile and digital marketing and advertising campaigns.

Philippe Poutonnet, vice president of marketing, is on the advisory board and a guest speaker for the . Poutonnet-s combination of mobile analyst and agency experience gives him unique insight to help guide course design and keep the program current with emerging business trends.

Guy Borgford, senior director of brand innovation, is also an instructor for the University of Washington certificate program. This fall semester, Borgford will teach a section dedicated to mobile marketing. He brings 20 years of real-world digital experience to classroom topics such as creating a mobile marketing and advertising blueprint for success, the mobile marketing mix, mobile tactics, mobile advertising, acquisition models, defining KPIs and ROI and implementing consumer engagement programs from awareness through loyalty and brand advocacy.

Derek Wiggins, vice president of sales, teaches mobile advertising and marketing at both New York University and Fordham University. Discussions cover all facets of the mobile landscape including mobile media, mobile applications, mobile web and messaging as well as creative, function and ideation. The over arching approach is to examine how a horizontal mobile strategy can harness the power of effectively reaching the consumer on the go.
