tde LSA-PLUS patch panel offers highest port density

Dortmund, 21. March 2011. tde – trans data elektronik GmbH, leading producer, distributor and provider of network technologies now offers a non-modular RJ45 Patch Panel named tBL – tde Basic Link. The patch panel is available in ½ rack units (U) either with 24 ports or in combination with 48 ports thus making a packing density of up to 48 ports within one rack unit possible. The LSA-PLUS patch panels are well-suited for data centres and cable networks requiring highest performance and packing density with smallest need of space.

“Irrespective of the field of application, tde”s new tBL patch panels with 48 ports within one rack unit now offer matchless packing density also in the non-ready made and non-modularised field while at the same time fully exhausting their space saving potential”, said André Engel, CEO of tde – trans data elektronik GmbH explains.

Premium RJ45 jacks

Supplied with high-quality RJ45 ports of Bel Stewart, the leading producer of RJ45 jacks, the ports offer excellent Alien crosstalk results and a maximum of electromagnetic compatibility. The chance of a port to port crosstalk is minimised due to the patented dual compensation technology on flexible circuit boards and the excellent shielding.

Highest packing density on ½ U

The sturdy and persistent patch panel shells comprise ½ U and offer the space for 24 ports. Taking one hight unit as a basis a packing density of 48 ports can be implemented. The “traditional version” of 1 U with 24 ports is also available. Conventionally installed with LSA-PLUS insulation displace technique the panel is processing friendly and allows a comfortable installation. After the connection the panel can be inserted through the 19 inch tier at the back and attached with 19 inch mounting brackets. The mounting brackets are already included in the delivery content.

Premium Cat.6A standard

The tBL patch panel supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet as well as Power over Ethernet. The electric components correspond with Cat.6A according to international standard ISO/IEC 11801 and the European standard EN 50173-1 respectively. In comparison to the American standard EIA/TIA 568B.2-10 the international and European standards apply a stricter threshold value to the Near End Crosstalk (NEXT) for frequencies from 250 to 500 MHz.
