FUJIFILM Recording Media U.S.A., Inc. and Crossroads Systems Expand Relationship With New Agreement

VALHALLA, NY and AUSTIN, TX — (Marketwired) — 08/28/13 — FUJIFILM Recording Media U.S.A., Inc. and Crossroads Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: CRDS), global leaders in data protection and archiving solutions, today announced that they have expanded their relationship through an OEM agreement that allows Fujifilm to private label the Crossroads StrongBox® data storage and protection product line.

Crossroads and Fujifilm began their strategic alliance in June 2009 through an agreement to offer Crossroads- storage technologies to Fujifilm-s customers. To meet customer needs for storage scalability and accessibility, the two companies announced in 2012 that Fujifilm had integrated StrongBox into its datacenter to provide a new data protection and archiving solution, Permivault. StrongBox-s unique use of Linear Tape File System (LTFS) technology empowers Permivault to deliver an economical storage tier while providing online accessibility and data protection. With this latest agreement, Fujifilm can now offer its customers the StrongBox appliance and technology for seamless integration with this offsite Permivault service as a complete Fujifilm solution.

“Having successfully teamed up with Crossroads to offer innovative archive services, Fujifilm is now taking the relationship a step further with this latest OEM agreement,” said Peter Faulhaber, president, FUJIFILM Recording Media U.S.A., Inc. “We can now deliver a robust archiving solution with built-in data protection for our customers based on the Crossroads StrongBox technology.”

“The new OEM agreement expands Crossroads- ongoing relationship with Fujifilm and should further boost StrongBox-s presence through Fujifilm-s technology, industry leadership and powerful brand,” said Richard K. Coleman, Jr., interim president and CEO at Crossroads Systems. “We-re pleased to broaden our relationship with a trusted partner such as Fujifilm.”
