Williams is currently Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for GroundCntrl, Inc. and was formerly CTO at Ericsson and Senior VP with Redback Networks.
Williams currently serves as CTO and head of products for GroundCntrl, Inc., a Silicon Valley based startup that builds solutions for Enterprise Process Analysis leveraging mobile devices, cloud computing and big data analytics. Williams previously served as senior vice president of product management at Metaswitch Networks, where he was responsible for Metaswitch-s carrier products portfolio that included network infrastructure for real time IP based services, SDN/NFV solutions and soft clients. Before joining Metaswitch, Williams was CTO of Ericsson-s IP and Broadband division where he was responsible for the overall product strategy for that division covering Ericsson-s routing, mobile packet core, microwave, broadband access and optical product lines. Williams joined Ericsson in 2007 through its acquisition of Redback Networks, where he held various senior-level sales and product management positions, including senior vice president of Asia-Pacific sales and operations. Williams holds a B.Sc. in electrical engineering from Queen-s University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
