Mirantis and VMware Announce Partnership to Simplify Cloud Deployments on Mirantis OpenStack Distribution With VMware Technologies

PALO ALTO, CA and HONG KONG — (Marketwired) — 11/05/13 — — and VMware today announced a partnership to develop and deliver solutions that help customers accelerate large-scale cloud deployments based on the Mirantis OpenStack distribution and VMware technologies. With this agreement, Fuel, the open source tool for OpenStack deployment and management pioneered by Mirantis, will add support for automating the deployment of the Mirantis OpenStack distribution in conjunction with VMware vCenter Server and technologies.

The OpenStack Compute service (Nova) with the VMware vCenter Server driver;

The OpenStack Block Storage service (Cinder) with the VMware VMDK datastore driver.
