Superior Discovery Purchases StrikeForce-s ProtectID(R) Multi-Factor Out-of-Band Authentication Technology to Protect Client Data

EDISON, NJ — (Marketwired) — 12/10/13 — (OTCBB: SFOR), a company that specializes in Cyber Security solutions for the prevention of Data Breaches and Cyber Theft, announced today that Superior Discovery has purchased StrikeForce Technologies multi-patented ProtectID Multi-Factor Out-of-Band Authentication platform to protect client information, trade secrets and intellectual property.

“We are excited to announce that Superior Discovery has chosen to purchase our ProtectID Out-of-Band Authentication Technology,” says Mark L. Kay, CEO of StrikeForce. “Superior Discovery believes that protecting their client information is absolutely critical. By including ProtectID as part of their service offering they feel that they will have a distinct competitive advantage thereby creating a tipping point for law firms looking for the services and data protection that Superior Discovery provides.”

“Choosing StrikeForce-s ProtectID Authentication patented platform is a no brainer,” says Gadi Rosenfeld, President and CEO of Superior Discovery. “StrikeForce-s authentication platform offers us a wider range of authentication methods (hard Keyfob tokens, soft tokens and -Out-of-Band-) available in-house or as cloud service, than any other authentication product we have seen in the market. Their platform offers us more simultaneous deployment options than any other vendor, is competitively priced, and finally, their technology is protected by multiple -Out-of-Band- patents. Being in the legal business knowing that we are choosing a technology partner with legal protection is critical.”

According to the article “Law Firms Under Siege,” published by Kelly Jackson Higgins in Dark Reading, law firms are joining the ranks of federal government agencies, defense contractors, and technology companies like Google and RSA, as targets for hackers. “Law firms are a means to an end: a defense contractor or utility, that they represent, for example,” says Steve Surdu, Vice President of professional services at Mandiant. Surdu stated that while he worked on just a handful of cases where law firms were hit just a few years ago, he now sees dozens that were hacked at once, which is only the beginning.
Attackers find law firms an attractive and relatively soft target for gathering the intelligence on everything from a new weapons system to software applications or new drugs. Firms that engaged in mergers and acquisitions and or civil litigation are getting hit, especially when their clients are involved with deals involving foreign companies.
