S-Factoring chooses to expand with FACT.pilot®

Kaarst, June 26, 2014. S-Factoring GmbH, a part of the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe, the German Savings Bank Finance Group, has decided to acquire the fidis software FACT.pilot®. S-Factoring intends to use this special application to almost fully automate the factoring process chain. An end-to-end automation of this sort generates greater security, reliability and expediency in invoice and payment processing. S-Factoring has chosen to invest in this platform to forge a solid foundation for future growth. fidis is one of the leading providers of banking software that uses SAP and it won this contract in a widely publicised selection procedure that involved numerous competitors.

“FACT.pilot®” has actually stood the test of time and facilitates a highly automated handling phase in compliance with the SAP standard in our industry. Ultimately that was critical to our choice,” declares Uwe Sablotny, the managing director of S-Factoring GmbH. “Apart from that, we were also impressed with the professional project organisation of fidis GmbH.” The extension Doc.pilot® allows PDF documents to be automatically imported. That reduces the error rate and also saves time.

“The day to day factoring transactions are very data-intensive,” Otto Johannsen, the managing director of fidis GmbH explains. “Manually feeding in data is not just so much more onerous and highly inefficient to say the least – it is also error-ridden and puts the factoring business at greater risk.”

The customers of S-Factoring, for most part, are small and medium-sized companies. S-factoring also intends to expand. And that was the reason for its decision to acquire a special software. FACT.pilot® automatically collects invoice data and details concerning limits and accounts receivables and processes them. Employees at Factoring can at a glance glean information about when payments must be made and actually issue them by simply clicking the mouse. Almost immediately, the monies are authorised for payment. Using the RAG rating scheme, the risk-tool indicates possible irregularities, such as erratic sales and production numbers among the customers. That is an additional safeguard for individual factoring transactions.

“In order to ensure profits in an environment of stiff competition, the process flows must become more efficient,” Johannsen emphasises. “For that, complex accounting processes must be generated and reliably processed in real time.”

FACT.pilot® is based on ERP-Software SAP R/3, which is the leading ERP software worldwide. The advantage: an ERP Software automates the processes and generates greater efficiency. At the same time, such a system offers companies adequate leeway and flexibility to develop new service products. The modular structure of the software ensures quick implementation in the volume required for the respective factor. This additional feature ensures that the solution is fit for any factoring company – independent of its size.
