(NASDAQ: IKAN), a leading provider of advanced broadband semiconductor and software products for the connected home, today announced that Lionel Adnet has joined the company as vice president of business development and carrier relations. Adnet will spearhead the company–s initiatives to drive increased acceptance of its award-winning broadband access technology among global carriers and leading OEMs.
Adnet has more than 25 years of experience in the telecom industry and joins Ikanos from Technicolor–s Connected Home Division, where he was vice president of worldwide product management. Prior to Technicolor, he served in a senior position for Huawei, leading the technical sales team for the fixed network division in the United States. He has also held multiple leadership positions for Alcatel and Alcatel-Lucent Fixed Broadband division from 1999 through 2010, notably developing Alcatel-Lucent–s DSL business in Asia Pacific and Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) Ultra Broadband Fiber to the Premises business around the world. Adnet earned a Master of Science in electrical engineering from Columbia University, and an engineering degree from Ecole Centrale de Lyon, France.
