Third Quarter 2014 Highlights:
During the third quarter of 2014, Urban was focused on refinancing activities to provide a firm basis for the business to pursue its plans to launch Urbanfibre, with services equal to 1000 Mbps available to residential and commercial buildings along its fibre optic core in metro Vancouver.
$1.8m cash was raised through an equity placement and the issue of a convertible debenture, which allowed the Company to restructure existing debt and which will provide working capital for the Company moving forwards. Subsequent to September 30, the Company has closed additional tranches of convertible debt financing to raise a further $1,273,000.
The company incurred a net loss of $249,290 in the third quarter, bringing its net loss for the 9 months to September 30 to $900,568.
