Zantler Launches Shoppost for Etsy; Now Buy and Sell Vintage and Handmade Products In-Stream on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Tumblr

SEATTLE, WA — (Marketwired) — 12/16/14 — , the company that enables merchants to sell where they share online, today announced that has made Zantler–s social commerce platform, , available to Etsy–s million plus vintage and handmade specialty retailers. With Shoppost, Etsy retailers can merchandise and sell their products in-stream on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Tumblr with a post that mimics an e-commerce storefront.

“Many of our customers are extremely active on social media, but until now there was no compelling way to engage with and sell to them where they spend so much of their time online,” said Kate Lauter at Etsy merchant and Shoppost customer . “Shoppost gives us that capability by bringing our storefront to life across all of the major social networks with up-to-date info on color, size availability and pricing from our Etsy page.”

To enable customers to quickly move from consideration to purchase when viewing product promotions in their news feeds on social media sites or on blogs, shopposts use product details including images, availability, sizing, colors and pricing brought forth directly from an Etsy retailer–s merchant page. Once a customer clicks the buy button in a shoppost, they are taken straight to the merchant–s Etsy branded shopping cart, providing a seamless, trusted checkout experience. The Shoppost web app also provides a robust analytics tool that delivers valuable data about customers– engagement, and which products convert best on which sites.

“Shopposts were designed to drive better engagement and conversion for merchants on social and mobile, and our early data shows we–re successfully delivering on that promise. We–re seeing a 22 percent engagement rate with shopposts on Facebook and 42 percent of all engagement with shopposts are happening on mobile,” said Zantler CEO David Robb. “We–re excited to give Etsy merchants that same ability to engage with and sell to consumers where they live on social media.”

In addition to launching the Etsy integration, Shoppost is introducing a sharing to Tumblr button. This button — much like its Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest sharing button counterparts — enables merchants to post shopposts with a single click to Tumblr and consumers to share a shoppost from one social media platform to Tumblr (for example, if they see on Facebook they can share with a button push on Tumblr). Previously, Shopposts could be shared on Tumblr exclusively with embed codes.

“Because of the huge volume of fashion and apparel on Tumblr, and the large percentage of apparel and accessory merchants using Shoppost, it was a natural fit for us to amplify our Tumblr support with the share button,” said Zantler President James Lively. “With Tumblr being recognized as the fastest-growing social platform concurrently with our Tumblr share button launch, this enhancement will provide our merchant base a valuable tool to expand their social reach and increase conversions.”

Etsy is the first online marketplace to offer Shoppost to its merchants. Just last month, Amazon made Shoppost generally available for retailers that use its e-commerce platform, and some of the Amazon merchants that have been using shopposts include merchandise licensing company for , Evolution, and women–s fashion brand Spiegel. In addition, hundreds of and retailers have listed thousands of products using shopposts since they were made available to merchants on those e-commerce platforms in June 2014.

Merchants and consumers can use Shoppost free of charge. For more information about Shoppost for Etsy, go to .

Zantler is changing how retailers sell to consumers online. Its main product, Shoppost, enables retailers to create shareable, shoppable posts that perform as mini-storefronts on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and blogs. Shoppost launched in June 2014, and is already available for Etsy, Amazon Webstore, Shopify and Bigcommerce merchants. Zantler is headquartered in Seattle.
