Sphere 3D–s RDX QuikStor Purpose Built Backup Appliance Sees 42% Growth in Shipped Capacity

SAN JOSE, CA and MISSISSAUGA, ON — (Marketwired) — 12/23/14 — Sphere 3D Corporation, (NASDAQ: ANY), a virtualization technology and data management solutions provider, today announced that its RDX® QuikStor®, a purpose-built backup appliance (PBBA), continues to see rapid customer adoption with over 450,000 units shipped worldwide since its initial introduction in 2006. Additionally, the shipped capacity of RDX QuikStor increased 42% from 2013 to 2014. With over 2.2 million RDX media and over 650,000 RDX removable drives shipped worldwide, RDX is a proven and fast-growing backup and archiving solution of choice for small-to-medium enterprises worldwide.
