Vodafone Iceland Selects CTI Group SmartRecord(R) for Hosted Call Recording in an IMS Environment

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — (Marketwire) — 07/20/11 — CTI Group (Holdings) Inc. (OTCBB: CTIG), a leading developer of telecommunications solutions for fixed, mobile and converged communications, today announced that its SmartRecord® carrier-grade call recording solution has been selected by flagship telecoms solutions provider, Vodafone Iceland, as the chosen hosted call recording solution. SmartRecord enables Vodafone Iceland to record telephone conversations on its next generation IP multimedia BroadSoft BroadWorks voice platform to help its customers meet regulatory, quality management and legal demands.

Vodafone Iceland-s next generation network is a geographically distributed, hosted, IP multimedia subsystem (IMS) deployment which spans multiple countries and handles multiple network methodologies. The decision to choose an IMS environment is to enable scalable deployment, provisioning, and generate higher revenues per end-user. The industry pioneering integration of the SmartRecord platform into their IMS environment enables Vodafone Iceland to deliver a crucial regulatory application, further increasing user functionality and enabling enhanced application revenues. This validated deployment in an IMS environment opens the door for enabling a call recording application, regardless of user network access methodology, especially in VoLTE and other wireless environments.

The active recording technology designed and patented by CTI Group and widely adopted in many next generation networks, coupled with the multi-tenant architecture of SmartRecord was selected by Vodafone Iceland as a cost effective and reliable alternative to the need to deploy multiple additional premise-based recorders. The multi-tenant architecture of the recorder is also highly scalable and supports a geographically redundant deployment.

Andy Wilson, VP Worldwide Sales at CTI Group, comments: “The multi-national, multi-company coordination between Vodafone Iceland, Ericsson, and CTI Group has delivered a scalable, revenue generating application for Vodafone Iceland-s next generation network, which I am confident will be of extraordinary value to Vodafone Iceland-s increasingly mobile workforce.”

Wilson adds, “SmartRecord enables Telcos to brand the application as their own and its multi-tenant architecture is ideal for hosted VoIP providers such as Vodafone Iceland that needs to centralise recording across multiple sites.”

Ragnheiður Guðmundsdóttir, Head of Product Management & Marketing at Vodafone Iceland, comments, “That the selection of CTI Group-s Hosted Call Recording Solution, SmartRecord, was won against stiff competition. The rich functionality and technical innovations of SmartRecord, supported by an efficient, knowledgeable and responsive commercial and technical team at CTI Group was impressive and well received by our product management team.”
