Hansen Medical–s Sensei(R) Robotic System to Be Featured at Heart Rhythm Society–s 36th Annual Scientific Sessions

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA — (Marketwired) — 05/11/15 — Hansen MedicalĀ®, Inc. (NASDAQ: HNSN), the global leader in intravascular robotics, today announced it will exhibit its SenseiĀ® X2 Robotic System at the Heart Rhythm Society–s (HRS) Annual Scientific Sessions, May 13 – 15 at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center in Boston, Massachusetts. Hansen will highlight the new Sensei X2 Robotic System, which features faster processing, enhanced image integration and a slimmer design. The Company will be conducting product demonstrations and displaying the Sensei X2 Robotic System at Booth 843.

In addition, the Sensei Robotic System will be featured in a poster presentation during the conference. On Saturday, May 16 from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm, Juergen Schreieck, MD, from the Medical University of Tuebingen in Tuebingen, Germany, will present his clinical findings on force sensing with the robotic navigation system in a poster presentation.

“We are pleased to see new data presented on Sensei at HRS, one of the biggest cardiac conferences of the year,” said Cary Vance, President and Chief Executive Officer of Hansen Medical. “This study represents continued momentum behind the unique combination of force sensing technology and the stability and control of the Sensei System.”

About Sensei Robotic System

Sensei Robotic System combines advanced levels of 3D catheter control and 3D visualization. This unique, state of the art technology has been used in over 14,000 patients, and is powered by a robotically controlled arm that allows for catheter navigation, stability and positioning within the patient–s heart atria. The Sensei Robotic System, control catheters and accessories are intended to facilitate manipulation, positioning and control of Hansen Medical–s robotically steerable catheters for collecting electrophysiological data within the heart atria with electro-anatomic mapping and recording systems, using specified percutaneous mapping catheters. The Sensei Robotic System is powered by a robotically controlled arm that allows for catheter navigation and stability. The safety and effectiveness of this device for use with cardiac ablation catheters, in the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias including atrial fibrillation, have not been established.
